i was going through old books–rereading them before tossing–and came across think big by ben carson yesterday night…not as good as gifted hands but enjoyable nonetheless…

it got my mind going about a number of things:

- was wondering to myself if i could finish two books a week, let alone write reports…

- so that’s the reason there is an acknowledgments section. i can appreciate the concept of how there are innumerable people who have contributed to his life–heck i probably have double–but i found myself skimming through certain chapters. beyond his mother and a few others it really didn’t hold my attention.

- his acrostic is really useful.

and many more. overall, i enjoyed being reintroduced to his story, and really appreciated the section his mom wrote. if you have not read gifted hands i highly recommend it. and for sharing your story, thanks so much.
